​        The Forest City Area Historical Society will present a Veteran’s Day patriotic music program and an Open House honoring the 130th anniversary of the construction of the building it now occupies as an area historical museum on Main Street in Forest City.    The event, open to the public, will be Sunday, Nov, 6th, with an Open House from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. and the Veteran’s Day patriotic music program to follow.
        The Open House will allow guests to view the new Hometown Heroes banners which are now on display on the walls of the museum.  Photos and other memorabilia from the Forest City Area are also on display at the museum.
         In honor of Veteran’s Day,  the area Gospel Group “Tri-State Gospel Singers”, directed by Heather Pearsall, will be presented at 3:00 P.M. which will include patriotic & other choral music.  At 4:00 P.M. the regional Dixieland band “Penn Dixie”, directed by Barney Wilkins, will perform patriotic and other music. 
         In addition,  there will be a variety of hors D’oeuvres and desserts along with drinks for the visitors during the Open House. 
         The public is invited to the event which will take place at the FCA Historical Society Museum, corner of Main & Dundaff Streets in Forest City.   For further information contact 570-785-3800 or 570-679-2452.

        The Forest City Area Historical Society is proud to present “Halloween at the Museum 2016”.   The event, for young and old, will take place at the FCA Historical Society Museum, corner of Main and Dundaff Streets, 6:30 P.M. Saturday October 29th, beginning with a ‘Costume Contest’ which will be followed up by the animated 2012 comedy film “Hotel Transylvania”, rated PG.
        Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place at the Costume Contest event which will start at 6:30 P.M.   The movie is Free and the event will include Free Popcorn.  Parents & Guardians are encouraged to bring their children to the event, all ages are welcome to come and join in the fun. 
        The Forest City Area Historical Society is proud to announce the return performance of the popular area traditional Bluegrass band “The Young Brothers”, Saturday October 22nd at 7:00 P.M. at the FCA Historical Society Museum & Concert Hall, corner of Main & Dundaff Streets in Forest City.   The group has performed several times for the Historical Society which received extraordinary public comment about the groups stunning traditional bluegrass repertoire & and first rate performance.  This is a show you don’t want to miss.  Admission to this FCA Historical Society fund raiser is $5.00 per person, children under 12 Free.
        While at the FCA Historical Society Museum, view the many historical displays of the Forest  City regional area along with its new Home Town Hero display.  The Museum is open one hour before the performance.

The Forest City Area Historeical Society is proud to announce an “Acoustic” concert by the regional band “Crashing Aperture”,  Saturday August 27th at 7:00 P.M. at the Historical Society Museum and Concert Hall, corner of Main and Dundaff Street in Forest City.

         The Forest City Area Historical Society is proud to announce their “Coffee House Entertainment”, open mic, music event Sunday evening July 17th starting at 7:00 P.M,  at the Historical Society Museum and Concert Hall, corner of Main and Dundaff Streets in Forest City.   
​This musical event will feature some of your areas finest entertainment talent.  

        Area musicians, singers, dancers, poets and comedians who would like to perform are welcome.

​ The Forest City Area Historical Society is proud to announce a concert by the Northeastern Pennsylvania Rock Band “Crashing Aperture”,  Sunday May 22nd at 3:00 P.M. at the Historical Society Museum and Concert Hall, corner of Main & Dundaff Streets in Forest City.
    “Crashing Aperture” is a 4-piece Rock band fronted by Rick Priebe and Kevin O’Boyle you don’t want to miss.   Consisting of electric guitars, bass, keys, drums and vocal harmonies, the band plays rock covers spanning from the finest songs of classic rock to the best modern hits.  Check them out on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or visit them at www.crashingaperture.com.
